35 Yr Eifl West, Llanaelhaearn
PRN 610 NGR SH 360457

A surprisingly large cairn, considering that the summit area is quite small. The original cairn is about 10m diameter and up to 1.2m high and has traces of laid slab kerbing in places. On this has been built a modern 'pillar' cairn about another 2m high and there has been other disturbance as well. The original cairn is so large and well-built that it seems likely to be prehistoric and resembles those on Yr Eifl Central (No. 36) and Tre'r Ceiri (No. 38). It has panoramic views with no obvious bias and is highly visible from all around.
