A low, poorly defined cairn composed mainly of fairly small stones. It is difficult to define the boundary between the cairn and natural rocks exposed to the N. Much of the cairn has been used to build a walkers' shelter, which covers most of the area of the cairn, although the cairn does protrude on the east side. Cairn stones form the floor of the shelter but it has been reduced close to bedrock. Against the N side of the shelter is propped a large slab that could be the cover of a cist. The views are impressive but the summit blocks the view between S to SW, making its prospect more N and NE.
