26 Mynydd Graig Goch, Dolbenmaen
PRN 138 NGR SH499483

A very substantial cairn, 11m diameter and 2m high. On its top is a recent, small, conical walkers’ cairn. The original cairn is defined on the N by a kerb of large slabs giving a well-defined edge compared to the cleared area around. The layout suggests that the cairn was platform-like originally, not just as a result of spreading. The cairn is situated on the southern lower promontory of the summit, which suggests that it was designed to view towards or be viewed from Cwm Pennant to the SE.
