24 Garnedd Goch, Llanllyfni
PRN 1429 NGR SH511495

A large cairn 17m diameter and up to 3m high. It is built over an outcrop, which adds greatly to its apparent height. There are possible signs of an original edge but no certain kerbing at the north side, which is steep and less trampled than the rest. There are traces of more recent rectangular structure on the top. There is no central pit to suggest robbing. It is well trampled but because of its size and lack of interference or robbing any original funerary deposit is probably still intact. There are four or five small outlying marker cairns on the NW face of the summit. The cairn is built in a skewed position on the NW side of the summit and so was meant to be seen from the hill slopes or coastal plain on that side.
