20 Mynydd Mawr, Bettws Garmon
PRN 2779 NGR SH539546

A large, low cairn, 17m diameter and 1.5m high. It is badly trampled, mainly because it is built of small, loose shale. It is surmounted by a small modern cairn and there are several others nearby. Three shelters have been dug into it and others started. Despite its low height, and poor condition, there is no sign of robbing so its original burial may well be intact. It lies symmetrically on the isolated summit with panoramic views, but most prominent from the lowland to the W.
