8 Carnedd Llewelyn 1, Llanllechid
PRN 748 NGR SH683643 SAM

A relatively small cairn, about 8m diameter and 1.5m high. No structure is visible but it is in surprisingly good condition for such a well-visited site. There are two scoops on the E and S but little apparent recent disturbance. There is a well-constructed shelter and wall just to the S probably using stones robbed from the cairn. The cairn is constructed on a summit plateau so has extensive distant views all round but would not have been visible from any of the surrounding valleys.
