7 Foel Grach, Llanllechid
PRN 760 NGR SH688658

A large cairn 12m diameter and 2m high. Constructed of stones of all sizes up to 1m in length. The cairn is built up around a rock outcrop that protrudes just to the N of the cairn top. No kerbstones are visible but could be hidden by the stone spread. The large size of some of the stones used suggests that it is not just a modern cairn. It has slumped down the hill to the E and stones are scattered between natural outcrops to the N. There are panoramic views but the cairn would be most clearly visible from the hills to the NW and NE and from the valley of the Afon Caseg to the NW, where there are remains of prehistoric settlement.
