Project Co-ordinator for HLF funded youth project

 

30 months fixed term contract

2 days (14.8hrs)/week

Pay scale: £19,430pa pro rata.

 

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a project co-ordinator for an HLF funded project. Gwynedd Archaeological Trust has been awarded an HLF grant as part of a wider project led by Cadw and encompassing six heritage-based organisations in Wales. The person appointed will co-ordinate the project ‘Unloved Heritage?: Animating Dyffryn Nantlle’ which will involve working with young people, volunteers, and community groups to deliver a wide range of activities and events within Dyffryn Nantlle, as specified within the Activity Plan. This project is part of a wider programme of activities being undertaken throughout Wales designed to engage, enthuse and inspire young people to get involved with their local heritage.

Gwynedd Archaeological Trust is a Registered Charity, the object of which is to enhance the education of the public in archaeology. It is dedicated to investigating, recording, understanding, protecting and promoting the archaeology and historic environment of north-west Wales. The Trust is also constituted as a Company Limited by Guarantee and provides a source of wide-ranging academic and professional expertise and services in archaeology and related areas.

We expect candidates to have experience of working with communities, and arranging and running education and outreach events. The ability to communicate in Welsh and a full clean UK driving license are essential requirements.
