Maen Fabli

Lies at N side of minor road opposite schoolhouse 600m S of Maenaddwyn crossroads, 6km W of Benllech towards Llanerchymedd.

A Scheduled Ancient Monument

A massive rectangular slab now built into a wall. It is 3m high, 1.1m wide and 0.7 thick . Set at the centre of a wide natural basin visible from Bodafon Mountain. Formerly called Maen Addwyn (Stone of Addwyn or Blessed Stone) but records suggest that this was a separate stone, Maen Fabli and that the Maen Addwyn stone was further north, near the cross-roads. The name Fabli may just derive from the field name.
